Dear Fellow Federationists:

I'm writing to remind you that the monthly meeting of the Greater Baltimore chapter of the National Federation of the Blind of Maryland takes place this Saturday, May 16. The meeting will begin promptly at 10 a.m. and, since we once again have visitors from out of state, will take place in the auditorium. I'm also writing, however, to urge you to arrive at the headquarters of the National Federation of the Blind no later than 9 a.m. As you know, the National federation of the Blind will attempt to break the Guinness World Record for Largest Umbrella Mosaic at our national convention this summer. We are planning the logistics of this huge event and need volunteers to help us do a run-through of organizing a group and getting members in place so that the proper mosaic image will appear when our umbrellas are raised. So please arrive early so that you can participate in a rehearsal for this great event. All you will need to do is follow instructions and raise an umbrella at the proper time. Again, please arrive before 9 a.m. so that you can participate in this rehearsal.

If you have items for the meeting agenda, or if you have any questions, send an email to greaterbaltimore at nfbmd.org<mailto:greaterbaltimore at nfbmd.org>, or call our Google Voice number, (443) 516-7855. See you on Saturday!

Warmly,

Chris Danielsen, Chapter President

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want; blindness is not what holds you back.

Make a gift<https://nfb.org/make-gift> to the National Federation of the Blind and help ensure all blind Americans live the lives they want.
