	I thought this would be nice to share at the NFB Meeting if anyone is interested.

Good morning Carolyn,

We received word on Friday that you would be willing to help us during our 6K race on June 5.  We appreciate any and all help with this event.

We are in need of course monitors who will help giving directions to the blind runners to know when they need to turn or if a hill coming up...etc.  

I am also in need of finish line monitors who will make sure that each finisher gets their time recorded properly.  There are different chutes that individuals will need to go down at the finish line and we will need to make sure there is no bottleneck there.

We will also need people at our water stations giving out water to the runners.

Last but not least, we will need help serving food at the event.  We will have pastries, fruit, water, and other things for the runners to have before and after the race.

All volunteers will need to be at 200 E. Wells Street no later than 7:00 a.m. so that we can get everyone in place before the race starts.  

Please let me know what you would like to do and I will get into that job if at all possible.

Dear Federation Colleagues,
Our next chapter meeting is on May 21 at 10:00 am. As usual we will meet at the NFB Jernigan Institute  at 200 East Wells Street, Baltimore, MD 21230. This time we will be meeting in the Eutaw auditorium. The auditorium is off the hallway that leads from the 4th floor atrium to the lunch room.

We will be discussing raising expectations for blind people and making chapter plans.

I hope to see many of you there.
