Hi everyone!

Ashley here from MD-LBPH. I'm so happy that fall is finally here!

I wanted to share some information about the library with you -

*Digital Talking Book Players: *
If you happen to have a *second *digital talking book player, please send
it back to the library. We routinely take machines that are returned, clean
and repair them as needed, then provide them to patrons who need
replacement units. If you need instructions on returning players,
please let me know. Don't worry - it's FREE to return materials to the
library!

*Upcoming Teleconference*: Lead and Other Toxins in Maryland’s
Waterways. Ruth Ann Norton, President & CEO of the Green & Healthy Homes
Initiative (GHHI), will speak about efforts in Maryland to eliminate
childhood lead poisoning and to create healthy, safe and energy-efficient
housing for America’s children. Ms. Norton is a 26-year Maryland leader on
lead poisoning prevention. All are welcome to join this teleconference:
(515) 604-9516, access code 202933. It will be held on October 21st at 6:30
PM. Click www.lbph.maryland.gov for more information.

*Technology User Group:*
November's Technology User Group meeting will be held at LBPH and will
feature Assistive Technology Gifts for the holidays. The meeting is held on
November 9th at 10 AM. Click www.lbph.maryland.gov for more information.

Thanks! Have a great week.
