Skype version 3.8.0.188 is now available and one place where you can download it from is at www.skype.com.  Here are the changes in this version:

bugfix: Improved search for contacts that have not signed into Skype for a long time.
bugfix: Incorrect setting for online status in Options
bugfix: Skype occasionally crashed on shutdown
