If you are referring to the Olympus DS50, or, for that matter, any in
the DS series, the manual is available in MP3 format on the Olympus web
site at www.olympusamerica.com

I paid $220 or thereabouts in 2007.
What model would that be? I got the one with the most memory.
TIA

How functional it is will depend on its size. Which model do you have.
If
you don't know, how much did you pay for it? You can get a manual on
their
web site.

Hi all --
Does anyone else have one?
I bought this little gadget at the 2007 nfb convention, thinking I was
getting something with an accessible interface, but while some of the
functions speak, i don't find it at all easy to use without sight.
Also, it came with a manual that was almost an inch thick, and in print,
but

I can't find it now, and between me and my non-tech-savvy Mom, we have
not
figured out how to make it work. I snapped a picture of some of the
manual
with my knfb reader, and generally played around with the unit, but I
think
this would go so much faster with feedback from a hopefully satisfied
user.

I have recorded some things on it already, but my current barrier is
managing the sound files.

If anyone cares to make a suggestion, please feel free to post
instructions
for simple operations, such as how do I navigate the directories -- and
how
is the file system defined/managed?
How do I perform simple operations on a file?

TIA
