[gui-talk] Latest Jaws update. Worth the bother to downloadand install?

Oh honestly, hehehe. Windows updates generally fix security issues.
JAWS updates usually fix end-user features. A security flaw is more
likely to affect everyone than a feature bug, because by definition, a
feature bug affects only those that use that feature.

That said, there's no guarantee that a JAWS update won't fix more than
the release notes manage to explain, just as there's no guarantee that
a programmer (that's me!) will never forget to mention something he or
she did. :)

So if you install, you'll probably get some things fixed, and they may
or may not affect you personally. If you don't, you won't, with all
that this implies. But I don't think it's fair to characterize a JAWS
update as being as essential for safe computing as a Windows update.

There is one fair point to make though: If ever you need tech support
from Freedom Scientific, I'm sure they'll want to make sure first that
you're running the current JAWS version, all updates included, just
like about any other software company out there. You of course can
decide how much weight to assign that one.
