Thanks steve -- i already found that and have the problem solved.  I just 
had to remove and restore the battery which wiped out all my settings, but 
at least it's talking...  Apparently the battery pack had become loose.
Anyway, I can hardly wait to use it.

Unfortunately I can't help you with your BookSense problem but GW Micro
lists are now all managed from their home page.  All the details you
need to join any of the lists they offer can be found at
www.gwmicro.com/Support/Email_Lists
