Hi, listers.

I'm sure by now that a lot of you have heard about the new Kindle for PC app
with accessibility plug-in that Amazon has just put out. Well, I got all
excited and tried it out on my PC, and can't get it to work. I looked at
the comments on
www.blindbargains.com
and found that somebody seemed to be having what sounded like a similar
problem to mine. He said that he'd resolved the problem when he discovered
that his system's qty libraries had a conflict with those of the
application. Well, I don't know a qty library from a punch in the nose, but
I wonder if there's any way for a non-techie like to get this thing to work.
Has anybody tried it yet? I'm running Windows XP. I have WindowEyes as my
screen reader, but this Kindle for PC program totally locks up with
WindowEyes, so I tried it with NVDA. I could get into the program, but
can't get it to read books. Does anybody have any suggestions as to how to
proceed? Any help very much appreciated.

Beth Wright
