[gui-talk] Microsoft security essentials

I am using MS security essentials on my Windows 7 64 bit machine.  I 
have it set to auto update yet updates keep appearing in the list of 
optional updates if I do a Windows Update.  Do I need to change a 
setting to make sure it updates on its own and not through Windows update?
Any help would appreciated.
