[gui-talk] suggestion for Verizon phone

It really depends on what you want to do. If you don't want a smart phone but just an accessible feature phone, the samsung haven works well. For smart phones, you have some choices. You have the iphone, there are also android phones. Both platforms are good but are very different. I use android more because I like a hardware keyboard, also android is more flexible, for example, you can connect an android phone to your computer and it shows up as a drive allowing files to be easily copied. For verizon, the droid 4 has just come out and would be a great choice. The iphone is of course very accessible, though a bit restricted in my opinion, hope this info helps.
