[GUI-Talk] Amazon Music App

Dear Steve,
Thank you very much for helping with this. I called the Amazon accessibility
hotline, and reported that the app on the Windows 10 platform should be
examined and improved for accessibility.
Maybe they will respond since Amazon is claiming that it is trying to make
its product line accessible.

Denise and everyone who asked,

I am having some computer problems on the computer that I have used for
Amazon Music and can't get back at this for a while. However, I did find
that the download process doesn't work the same as the upload process.
Uploading can be managed with a little effort, but I have not found the key
to downloading yet. I did manage at one point to get a list of music I had
on Amazon and by pressing SPACE on one selection I caused a menu to pop up
on another part of the page. That menu had choices like "Remove from My
Music" and "Export to Windows Media Player." I don't know if pressing ENTER
on DOWNLOAD before that played a role or not. At some point, I will try to
get back to this but perhaps the above will give someone a head start on
finding a method that works. It might be helpful if we could get someone
with enough vision to see the screen to help us figure out where to "click"
or press SPACE or whatever inside the table of music selections so we know
how to select, and whether multiple items can be selected. Remember that
pressing ENTER can cause JAWS to send a mouse click and sometimes pressing
NUMPAD SLASH will cause a mouse click to be sent. Selecting some music
and then clicking or pressing ENTER on DOWNLOAD might cause something to
happen. Please remember that there are places you can press ENTER that
cause things to happen that are not identified as links. This is similar to
what happens on some web sites. Further, I believe that the "Select Music"
item that appears at the very bottom of the screen is only associated with
uploading music but could be wrong about that.

Sorry I don't have anything more conclusive. If I have to replace the
offending computer that is keeping me from getting at this more, it may be a
while before I can get back to this so consider this to be a mind dump of
everything I've figured out so far.

Best regards,

Steve Jacobson

Dear Steve,
Can you also send me these instructions. I have the same
question for the same reason. In fact, I might purchase more music from
Amazon, if I could download it more easily.

Debbi,

The Amazon app is not easy to use, but I was able to upload music without
dragging and dropping. I will try to look later to see how the download
works, but I had to use the mouse left click key on the second appearance of
the word "upload" and then a dialog opened up. I'm telling you this in case
you want to experiment, but I'll see if I can be more specific about the
download process later this afternoon.

Best regards,

Steve Jacobson

Subject: [GUI-Talk] Amazon Music App

Does anyone use the Amazon music app on the computer? I have a sizeable
pile of music that I have purchased from Amazon over the years. I want to
download it all to an external hard drive. So, I got the most recent amazon
music app and it says to drag and drop the music. I can't figure out how to
do it with JAWS and the keyboard. And, I can't seem to figure out any way
to download the music. Can anyone help? Thanks.
