[GUI-Talk] Question about USBExternal Hard Drive

Hi, Everyone,

 

I am still running Windows 7 on my desktop computer but it is a farily new
install.  The first time I tried to open an external hard drive after the
Windows 7 installation, the external drive was connected and I got the
little sound showing it was but the drive would not pop up.  My computer
person told me that each external drive I had would have to be named in
order for me to be able to access it.  He helped me name the ones I had.
But, now, a friend has sent me an external drive and, when I plugged it in,
I heard the little beep but the drive, again, does not pop up.  I don't
remember how to name the drive so that I can access it.  Can anyone help?
