You can't really stop buffering of content. Whatever your internet
connection is, it can only go so fast.
If you are not using video and you have a choice, you should choose to
stream programming in audio form, without the video. This could make a big
difference, especially for sports.
I teasingly tell some of my friends from church that, while on Zoom, I don't
turn on my video because "video is a waste of bandwidth." But there is a
time and a place for everything.
