Jen,

Would you explain a bit more what you are trying to do?  The term "account" is a little ambiguous because you can bring multiple accounts into a single Outlook Profile.    If a selection of profiles is shown when you start Outlook, there is an Options link and in there one can control which is the default profile and whether you want a choice of profiles on startup  or not.  If this is the kind of behavior you want to change and you do not get a choice when outlook starts, you can go to Control Panel and then Mail.  Press the "Show Profiles" button and you can control some of the same settings including providing the choice of profiles at startup and setting a default.

On the other hand, if your friend needs to change which account is used for sending email when a profile has multiple accounts, that is a different process.

I hope this helps a little, but please explain further if it doesn't.

I am trying to help a friend change the default account with her screen reader. How do you change the default Outlook account in JAWS? When I tried file > Office Account, I got "Change settings," but then the button text changed to "get the Outlook mobile app..."
