That sounds really delicious! In Japan it is really difficult to obtain turkey meat. Please do not ask me why because I do not know why. Since I was little, I have read about roasted turkey, turkey stew, turkey sausage, turkey bacon, turkey ham, and etc. I, however, had never had any chance to taste turkey meat until I first came to
the U.S. When my parents were here in Lawrence visiting me in summer of 2004, I treated my parents to have roasted turkey Sub Sandwiches; needless to say, they really enjoyed their very first taste of turkey.

Hi Meg,
I would be happy to make that change for you. That does mean now I have to call it Turkey and beans with corn bread. It just doesn’t sound the same but I bet your right it will taste just as good.
Blessings to all.
Donna

Cook we would love to have you there. Oh Donna could you make those ham and beans with turkey ham instead of the real ham please. I know it will turn out the same way.

Hi, Donna:
Thanks bunches for the invite! We are putting our heads together trying to figure out how to get down there for it and which one of our cultures by heritage to represent! (smile!)
Cheers,
Susan

Hello everyone,
Here is how our social day has worked so far. Afew of us decided we would start meeting the fourth Saturday of the month to eat at a restaurant and fellowship with one another. Last month at the chapter meeting I suggested that we have a cultrural exchange dinner at someones house in July. It was decided that I had the bigger house to hold everyone. Which was fine with me that’s why I have a home so I can have all my family and friends over to it. So then we decided to have each of us bring a dish that we make ourselves (or can talk someone else into making for us) that is representative of our ethnic origin. In my case growing up in Arkansas (the South) and poor we had a lot of ham and beans and corn bread,mm Good! So I guess it could be called a cultural pot luck.
We would like to invite everyone to our Saturday social. The more people the more food.
Tootles,
Donna

This is Maryse
We in the south central chapter have a social every month. This time we decided to prepare an ethnic dish that we are familiar with, It has yet to be finalized. It's best to check with Leonard Silky, our chapter president.
Thanks, maryse

Hi, Emily and all.
How does this cultural foods exchange work? Does each person bring prepared foods of a particular ethnic/national cuisine or do you go to an ethnic dining establishment as a group. It sounds like lots of fun and we'd love to join you.
Cheers
