Hello federationists - in this week's "Syndicated Columnists Weekly- February 25than article from The Christian Science Monitor, gives us the projected top occupations for the upcoming decade. This may be of particular interest for those of us being asked where the jobs are going to be in the future..if one of these occupational areas are of interest, there is therefore an expectation that jobs will be out there. I'll provide the list though I'm not including other info unless someone is interested. The list is in the order of projected occupation with the highest expected growth (70 percent growth) to the last in the list with an anticipated 39 percent growth. Here they are:
personal care aid
home health aid
biomedical engineer
brick mason helper
carpenter helper
veterinary tech
reinforcing iron/rrebar worker
physical therapist assistant
meeting/convention/event planner
diagnostic medical sonographer
occupational therapy assistant
physical therapist aid
glazer
interpreter/translator
medical secretary
market/research analyst specialist
marriage/family therapist
brick mason/block mason
physical therapist

What an unexpected array of both blue collar/professional and supportive service provider jobs. The medical field is still hot but some interested projections here encompassing a lot of interests, abilities, capabilities, etc, that VR can help someone sort through , if concerned if there will be jobs out there for an area they want to pursue.
Dianne
