Jody Mulik is a member of the Johnson-Wyandotte County chapter. At 7 years old, Jody learned she had Optic Atrophy and was diagnosed as legally blind. Jody's mother developed Alzheimer's so she never held a full time job because she had to become her caregiver. She played piano at her mother's hospital and that is were she met her husband whom she married in 2018. Jody and her husband are instructors for a support group at Queen of the Holy Rosary Church and braille the readings used in this group. Jody says she is glad she and her husband Don joined the NFB of Kansas so they can help others with blindness live the lives they want.
