Hello Everyone,

I saw the pain specialist at KUMed on Friday. The news is not what I wanted
to hear. We are waiting for insurance approval for a fourth back surgery
which I am told will fix this continuing problem in my back. The curvature
of my spine which I thought was corrected with the two back operations I had
in '96 and '99, has caused another problem which I thought was fixed with
the June 28th of last year's surgery. Well, I was rong on all three counts.
My virtabre at L3 and L4 have slipped out of alignment and a spacer will
have to be put in to realign them and widen the narrowed space between them.
In the meantime, he has increased one of my pain medications and is allowing
my primary care doctor to continue prescribing the narcotic for breakthrough
pain. At the moment, it's all breakthrough pain. Hopefully when the new
dosage kicks in I will get some relief until after surgery. My younger
Sister, Diane is having the same problems with her back. She remembers
seeing our mother and older Sister, Clara struggle with back problems when
we were growing up. Thus, we have concluded that this is something we
inherited. As usual, I have been down a road that Diane has yet to travel.
Hopefully, she will listen and take my advice which will prevent some of her
struggles. Osteo Perosis adds to Diane's problem. Mom and Clara have left
this world. I know that Clara is in heaven but, sadly I won't be sure about
mom until I see who's up there. "It will be worth it all when we see Jesus.
Life's trials will seem so small when we see Christ" I'm sorry I don't
remember the rest of the words to that song. He has delivered me from so
much and healed me of oh so many things. Sorry, I'm just babbling on. I'll
let you go and get back to your lives. Please pray for Diane and I as we
travel down this road to health and wellness in our backs.

Blessings and Hugs to All,

Lynda Anders
