Entrepreneurship and Blindness: Turning a Disadvantage into a Game Changing Advantage


Dr. Hoby Wedler is an insightful, disarming, and passionate thinker who loves to bring people together to help them see new possibilities. With the heart of a teacher, Hoby helps turn dreams into realities. Hoby has been completely blind since birth. He is a chemist, an entrepreneur, a sensory expert, and is driven by his passion for innovative, creative, and insightful thinking. In 2016, Hoby earned his Ph.D. in organic chemistry from UC Davis. Dr. Wedler will focus on his life as a blind scientist and entrepreneur, how he was able to turn blindness into a big advantage in his career, and the importance of taking challenges, and focus on the power of mentorship and forming everlasting relationships

SCORE is offering participants special one hour in-person business counseling sessions.
SCORE provides FREE, in-depth business counseling for business owners and small businesses, providing assistance with starting a business, writing a business plan, and helping successful firms in planning for expansion. SCORE is a volunteer, non-profit association affiliated with the Small Business Administration.
