NFB of KS Board Meeting Minutes
01/11/26
Attendance: Roets, Rob Tabor, Susan Tabor, Fuller, Page, Wood, Hemphill,
Roberds, Schlenker, Nava, Williams-Murphy
Guests: Don and Jody Mulik
Secretary report approved by Page after Hemphill asked about transportation
comparison costs with the lower number being 2025 and the higher number
being 2024, and the recommended use of volunteer drivers and local members
for hotel research for convention to help save money on convention planning
costs
Treasurer’s report:
Total as of November 2025- $195,448.96
As of Friday Jan 9- $189,476.50. No Washington seminar checks have been
cashed yet. We’ll have $182,276.56 after those are cashed.
Convention expense totals will be reported at the next meeting.
State milage is $0.70 a mile
Hemphill asked about transportation comparison costs with the lower number

Report approved by Page
The KSSB students voted to discuss the bright bill in Topeka. We will have
transportation costs for our members to attend. Page estimated around $800.
Roberds made a motion to allow up to $1000 for transportation and lodging,
seconded by Wood. Motion carried.
Two south central chapter members are attending the Colorado center
Randolph shepherd was eliminated by the army
Envision interface lost a contract and the Murphy’s got furloughed
Chapter and division articles for newsletter need to be submitted by 2/15
Nava will have to step down from SILK this year
Next meeting 2/8 at 3 p.m
