Thanks JD, and everyone for your feedback. It's encouraging to hear from
others who have had the same obstacles I am encountering. That would be very
helpful to get any input from Rick Brown. Perhaps you could ask him if it
would be OK for me to email him?

Hi:

Rick Brown, MSW, went through an internship at the VA a few years ago and 
I'll send him a copy of your message.  I regularly scan forms into MS Word 
format and complete them on a PC or on the BrailleNote.  I like to complete 
forms on the notetaker because I can sit face to face and not be concerned 
about completing forms with my back or side faced to a computer -- much 
friendlier.

In our field we need to complete forms for people at times.  I encourage 
folks to be independent but the agency sometimes requires me to do it.
