Hi Mary:

The main three PDAs are the BrailleNote by Humanware; the PackMate by
Freedom Scientific; and the BrailleSense by GW Micro. All three have
models with braille displays and speech output. All have models with
braille or with querty (small) computer-style keyboards.

I suggest that you check these devices out on the internet and in person.
Your local NFB meeting will find you several folks with these devices and
state and national conventions will show give you time for hands-on play.

It contains a word processor, the planner, address book, book reader,
database, music player, email, internet, instant messageer, FM radio, games
and other features. It may be used as a braille display for a PC or for GPS
navigation. It costs a bundle, but is worth the debt.
