I am having some of the same problems with Outlook 2007. I actually went to
the Microsoft Website and downloaded the latest patches to the Office suite
2007. It seems to have helped but am not sure what else to suggest. I have
also tried closing Outlook and then re-starting which seems to alleviate the
issue for the moment anyway. I hope you get things resolved.  You are under
quite enough stress without having technology add to it. Best to you on your
test.
