[humanser] About requiring visual assistance in movement groups?

Hello, Gerardo, and everyone!
First of all, prior to answer, a "small" introduction: I'm Anastasia - 
Tatiana, a 34-year-old totally blind from Athens of Greece, who's 
undergraduate in Psychology, at the Panteion University of Political & 
Social Sciences, where I decided to get back, in order to get my degree, 
after a long break-up, seeking for a job that allowes me to continue, being 
financially independent. In the mean time, I got two certificates in the 
Italian language, having the long-term ambition to teach and translate, and 
I'm currently being prepared in getting my highest certification in English, 
which will give me the opportunity to do my Masters in the UK.
Gerardo, firstly, I like your willing to understand your teacher's point of 
view, as you wrote; this is how we should act, being blind, in my personal 
attitude - I mean, in other words, that I always dislike terms such as "oh, 
the sighted people never understand us, or never accept us..." etc...
Your teacher seemed to estimate your abilities, otherwise why would she 
suggest you to bring someone of your family? If she hadn't wanted you in the 
class, she would have asked you to leave, without saying anythinjg else.
On the other hand, I totally understand you and agree with you not wanting 
to get someone of your family help you, not letting you this way be 
yourself, that is f r e e.
Since your classmates don't bother helping you, why don't you tell her / 
discuss with her this option? And, if she doesn't accept, what don't you 
bring some of your sighted friends, or/and one of your familiar persons with 
whom you feel "equal", I mean yourself, and who's company you enjoy, or/and 
he/she enjoys yours as well?
Hope you get help from all of our responds, and hope you sort it out! Being 
out of life is not solution, and like you try not to!
