HYPNOTHERAPIST OFFERS FREE QUIT SMOKING DOWNLOAD

"If you can quit smoking for a day, you can quit smoking for life!" In 1977, based upon this fundamental belief, the American Cancer Society established the Great American Smoke-Out. This annual event encourages people who smoke to put down tobacco for one day. For the past 35 years, millions of Americans have quit smoking through this annual observance. This year's smoke-out will be held on November 15.

As a public service and to demonstrate his commitment to improving the health of the community, Certified Hypnotherapist Marion Gwizdala will offer a free download of his recording of an actual hypnosis session entitled, "Quit Smoking for Life!", along with other support materials to help kick the habit of smoking. This audio program - valued at $19.95 - will only be available for download on November 14 & 15. For information on how To receive this free download and the supporting documents, send an email request to

The Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) calls smoking "the most preventable cause of premature death in the United States". According to the American Society of Clinical Hypnotherapists (ASCH), a division of the American Psychological Association (APA), hypnotherapy is the most effective method to create and maintain long-term abstinence from smoking when used in a multi-session program (3 - 4 sessions). In addition, ASCH states that "a single session of hypnosis is no more effective than any other technique and group hypnosis is even less effective".

"The biggest challenge to abstinence is not the addiction to nicotine," Gwizdala asserts, "It is the psychological dependence and habitual behaviors that make quitting challenging."

In support of this claim, Gwizdala points to the limited success of nicotine replacement therapies, such as patches, gums, and lozenges, and prescription drugs, like Chantix and Wellbutrin.

"If nicotine were the problem, these interventions would be much more successful!" says Gwizdala, who focuses upon the psychological and behavioral elements of smoking
