Some great answers JD. Yes, some of those actually work Alyssa. I actually
used a version of the light dependent response at church one day. Did you
know some people don't ask because they are afraid of being rejected? I
told this guy that I was used to being rejected and I'd rather answer
questions. Can I ask you how you do things with sight? I've never had the
experience.
That really got us all laughing and things have never ben better at church.
I've done almost everything but preach in the ten years I've been a member.
Now I'm on committees and liking it. People are learning I have a brain,
it's giving me some good contacts plus they are all learning we are normal.
The one about those who have mental or health problems being more willing to
share with someone with a disability is true too. I had that happen when I
was doing intern work at the salvation Army's food pantry/social service
referral program.
I'm so glad you are getting a second chance. You will do well.
