You are quite an asset here Doug!  Thanks for the long but informative 
message and yes, I stayed awake though it all.  I have an IT person as a 
brother-in-law.  I sort of understood what you were talking about.  If Allan 
ever has need for your services I'll give him your contact info.  Who knows 
when Canon in IL will hire a blind person?  That's the company my brother- 
in-law works for.
