When I lived on Connecticut, I went to a Baptist that had a lot of younger 
people. I was able to get involved and became a Sunday school teacher. I 
go to a nondenominational church in Rhode Island that doesn't seem as 
active. There a re a lot of older people who are just amazed I can walk 
downstairs. One of the deacon's wives always likes to talk about me when 
I'm within earshot. Sometimes I can answer, but there are times when I 
have already walked away and don't want to make a spectacle of myself by 
shouting. Some people will never get it about blindness.
