I encourage you to read the following book, "Blind" by Rachel DeWoskin. The
author demonstrates knowledge about blindness, use of some adaptive
technology, use of the cane and, moreover, the real and, sometimes, very raw
emotions associated with trauma, grief, self-identity and the world as seen
through the mind of 15 year-old Emma.
