Erica and other employment seekers, 

Recently, I learned about Human Services related jobs in the San Diego
Unified School District. I suspect these or similar jobs are required in
other school districts throughout the United States because some of the
funding is federal. 

Many of our city schools have a Family Service Coordinator on site. I'm not
sure if these individuals are assigned to more than one school. I am
guessing that anyone in a similar position within a large school district
could request a transportation related accommodation such as splitting the
cost of a driver, reimbursement for using Uber, or at least getting mileage
and gas if you have to pay out of pocket for a part-time driver. You may
find seniors seeking volunteer or more likely limited paid work. 

The other employment position I recently learned is called a Vento-McKinney
Homeless Advocate. Vento-McKinney are two individuals for whom this homeless
legislation is named for. These advocates help homeless students find
shelter and I'm not sure what else. Yes, in San Diego, and I suspect many
other locations, we have homeless children without parents.

Hello all.

For those who do not know me, my name is Dennis Sumlin.  I serve on the
board of this division, and I am also the chair of the social media
committee.  We are in the process of getting our website up, and we already
have a facebook, but now I am hear to tell you that we have a twitter
account.

As of now, I am still setting up the social and website fraimwork, but after
that, I will be looking for some volenteers to work with me.
