> Prevention and Recovery in Early Psychosis (PREP) is a new program at FSA that operates in partnership with the University California, San Francisco (UCSF). This program is dedicated to early detection of psychosis and early delivery of care with a multi-disciplinary approach to treatment. The program combines a series of evidence-based treatments in Strength-based Care Management, Medication Management, Multi-family Group Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Early psychosis, Vocational rehabilitation and Cognitive Training to address the issue early and bring the symptoms to full remediation.

> Evaluates needs of clients and develops treatment plan in coordination with others for individuals with mental, emotional, or substance abuse problems. May also assist with family, parenting; suicide; stress management; problems with self-esteem and assisting clients in applying for and obtaining other social services while providing a safe and supportive environment for agency’s clientele and adhering to laws regarding confidentiality and reporting requirements. Activities may include individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, case management, client advocacy, prevention, and education. Maintains accurate detailed observation and progress records for later electronic billing data entry. Additional duties as needed.

> · Conduct assessment interviews and diagnostic evaluations with children/adolescents and parents to develop treatment plan

> · Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field

> · Current California State Licensure or license-eligible preferred (e.g., BBS registration)

> · Knowledge of County, State and Federal requirements for documentation and reporting

> · Knowledge of individual/family dynamics and child development
>
> · Knowledge and familiarity with multi-cultural populations, especially African-American, Asian and Latino

> · Knowledge of DSM-IV/ DSM V diagnoses

> · Knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures for diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of physical and mental dysfunction

> · Knowledge and awareness of the therapeutic process

> · Knowledge of and ability to work in a community and agency structure

> · Open to learning and implementing Evidenced Based Practices

> · Strong assessment skills with reference to the DSM IV-R and well-developed interviewing skills
