    Hi Everyone,

I agree that the example described below was an excellent illustration of
self-advocacy.

A few weeks ago, I heard about a conference that I wanted to attend and I
inquired via email if there were handouts available in an electronic format. 
I
did not receive a response. I followed up a couple of weeks later and 
handouts were subsequently emailed to me.
