Hi Cheryl,
The assessments are not built in to Therapy Notes. The clinician can
record the assessment and then upload the results into Therapy Notes.
Progress notes can be done two ways. The first is to enter the
information into Therapy Notes in edit boxes. Like any edit box, they are a
little awkward. This is why I prefer the second method. I type out the
information that I wish to input into Therapy Notes in Word and then I copy
and paste. This is my preference though as the edit box option is
accessible, I just choose to use the Word option.
I am unsure about the assessments. Many of these cost and the
purpose of TN is to personalize the record keeping for each practice. I am
sure that there is a way to attach them to TN, but my belief is that you
will need to do the assessment and then scan it into TN.

Warmly,

Rev. Michael “Big Dog” Abell

Dear Michael and listers,

Does Therapy Notes allow for the clinician to fill out assessments? Are the
assessments built into it, or must they be done in some other way?
Are you able to submit all your records electronically, or do you have to
fill out some documents in Word and then have someone transcribe them for
you?

Have any of you needed to create big workarounds in order for you to perform
your duties? If so, please tell me about them.

Warmly in return,

Cheryl Wade, Outpatient Therapist
