Rebecca,
I agree with Justin.
Writing up your own notes in a Word file and having someone paste them into 
the software could work or having a reader trained in privacy procedures of 
your employer work with you are viable options.

Its unfortunate that the job you lined up did not work out because your idea 
to type your notes in a word file seems very reasonable to me. Unless they 
were a very small organization like under a dozen employees, surely someone 
could have input the data in for you.
