Elif,
Hello and welcome to the list! I am so glad that you joined. I have taken the NCE using a screen reader. The NFB became involved when my request to use a screen reader was, initially, denied. I was told that I could use a reader and scribe as a reasonable accommodation. I took the NCE in 2013. I know that the Human Services Division has been working on the accessibility concerns relating to all high stakes testing. I can speak to you offline about the specifics if you like. We definitely need to contact Megan Sidhu at the national center and Sharon Kreber Weissbaum at Brown, Levy, & Goldstein. She worked on my case when I was struggling with the NBCC with regard to accommodations
Also, make sure that your Scholarship mentor knows that it would be good for you to attend the Human Services Division meeting at convention. I look forward to meeting you at convention. You are definitely in the right place for professional and personal support on this list and within this division!
Warmly,
Jeannie
