Hi Elif,
I know I'm a little behind in the game, but I just wanted to say hello
and welcome you to our listserv and the Human Services Division. My
name is Sarah Meyer, and I am a Master's student in clinical mental
health counseling and social psychology. I would love to get to talk
with you more at Convention about your grad school experiences,
especially because I am considering a PhD down the road as well. I was
blessed to be a scholarship winner last year and I hope you enjoy the
Convention experience as a scholarship finalist just as much as I did;
soak up every moment and opportunity to get to know your mentors
because it is quite an amazing experience!
I'm glad you have reached out regarding your concerns for using a
screen reader on the licensing exam. It's helpful to know there are
others who have taken the exam in this way and I have full confidence
that the NFB can help you just as they have helped others to ensure
equal access. I wish you all the best in this endeavor.

Best wishes,

Sarah

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the
characteristic that defines you or your future. You can live the life
you want; blindness is not what holds you back. Together with love,
hope, and determination, we transform dreams into reality.
