Hello,
I will be sitting for the NCE at my school in the Spring. The school
will be handling the accomodations since they will be administering the exam
for NBCC.
I have also been in touch with the NBCC about accomodations for
future counselors. I am pleased to share that they have recently purchased a
copy of JAWS for blind examinees. This will allow those individuals that
will need to take the exam through NBCC to be able to utilize JAWS as an
accommodation!

Warmly,

Rev. Michael "Big Dog" Abell

Hello all-

The LMFT national exam is administered by the Association of Marriage &
Family Regulatory Boards. I( had not heard of them before as I do not often
cross paths with LMFT's. In this case it appears that the student has not
yet requested accommodations. I spoke with her at length about the Human
Services Division and this list. I sent her the link to sign up and the
link to the High Stakes Testing tool kit along with the contact for the
Affiliate President in Minnesota.

Mary, is there any further news to share about accommodations for exams in
our field?

Also, an App that has been recommended by another therapist looks to be
interesting. It is, however, not entirely accessible. Although, for sighted
clients, who need extra help with negative thought patterns and stress
reduction, it seems pretty good. It is in the App Store and is FREE! The
name is Pacifica.

Have a great rest of your week and a wonderful weekend everyone!

Jeannie
