No, you don't need to buy any other insurance.

Subject: [humanser] Ensurance job requirements

Kaiti Shelton
Hello, everyone,
I've been searching for employment for a few weeks now, and I'm seeing
a troubling trend of posts not just saying drivers licenses are
required, but that ensurance is required on vehicles. I know to just
ignore the valid driver's license part as I have a valid state ID, but
of course I'm never going to have car ensurance. I have been using a
combination of public transportation, Uber and Lyft, and a hired
driver to get around for my internship, but even an internal job
posting says this is required. One posting I saw not only required
ensurance, but specified the minimum dollar amount in coverage
required.
What should I do in these cases? Planning how to get from point A to
B all the time is challenging enough, but now do I need to buy some
other type of ensurance to substitute for the car ensurance others
would have? Would I need to stick to having a hired driver and prove
that they are covered to company specifications? I'm still hoping
some stationary location will open up a job posting, but right now I
don't see any which fit that bill in the population I have been
training to work with. Thoughts?
