Hi Yiska,
I have a suggestion that may or may not be helpful to you. I am not sure I fully understand what you are asking. But, here is my suggestion based on what I believe you are asking. If my understanding is not correct regarding what you are asking, I apologize.
In terms of what you could say in interviews to explain your time since you have graduated with your masters degree. When asked, you could say something like you had some health concerns that needed to be addressed when you graduated. So, you took the time to successfully address those Health concerns. You could also explain that even though you had some health concerns that you needed to address, you still wanted to utilize the people skills you have in some capacity. As such, you have been working at a call center where you have been able to use a variety of people skills that will benefit you when working with clients in a social work or case management position. You could also follow this up by describing what skills you have utilized during your call center work that will be pertinent to the job you are interviewing for.
Even though your current job is not technically a social work job, it probably still requires you to use people skills as well as a variety of other skills that will be pertinent and beneficial to your future work in social work. Identifying what your skills and strengths are in your current job and explaining how they relate to and will be an asset for the employer for the job that you are interviewing for, would also be a great way to market yourself in interviews. You could also explain in an interview that you are an extremely motivated person and note that even with having to address your health concerns, it was very important to you that you continue to work during this time in order to maintain and further develop your skill set.
I hope this is at least somewhat helpful to you. Again though, I apologize if I have misunderstood what you are asking.
