[HumanSer] Consideding obtaining a social work degree and working with people dealing with diseases is this option feasiible for someone blind?

Hello listerve. I'm a former Teacher of the Visually Impaired considering going for a degree in social work. I'd be interested in counseling people to deal with diseases. In your opinion, is it possible for a person who’s blind to do this type of job. i'm a fluent user of both VoiceOver and Jaws. Thank you for the input of anyone on this list.
