Subject: City of Chicago Testing Kiosk

Hello all. Pasted below is an announcement from the City of Chicago
soliciting input on the prototype Pay-Ease kiosk. Your input on how these
machines work is critical. Thanks.

WE NEED YOUR HELP...

The Mayor's Office for People with Disabilities and the Department of
Revenue would like to invite you to test the City of Chicago's new prototype
Pay-Ease kiosk.

The new kiosk is designed to be accessible to individuals with disabilities.
Among its design features:

 *
Controls positioned so that they are operable by individuals with mobility
impairments, including those who use wheelchairs;
 *
A tactile keypad for use by individuals who cannot use touch screen
technology; and
 *
An audio interface and an audio output slot for headphones that allows
individuals who are blind or have visual impairments to use audio prompts to
complete transactions.
Pay-Ease kiosks are currently available at a number of locations to help
residents conveniently pay water bills, pay taxes, deal with parking tickets
and respond to red light camera notices.

We are asking people with disabilities to come and test the machine and let
us know how it works. Your input will allow us to make improvements to the
design before it goes into production and allow the City to ensure that our
services continue to be accessible to all Chicagoans.
Complimentary headphones will be available for use during testing.

Testing will take place at the Department of Revenue Payment Center in City
Hall, Room 107 (121 N. LaSalle Street, Chicago) on the following
days:

September 13 to September 17 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
September 20 to September 24 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Sign language interpreters will be available on the following dates:

September 14 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
September 23 4:00 pm - 6:00
pm

We look forward to seeing you and getting your input regarding the
prototype. If you have questions regarding the testing, please contact MOPD
at 312-744-4441.
