Hello Everyone:

 

Please note the following which is revised information from a previous
e-mail.

 

Effective Monday, July 10 thru Friday, September 15, 2017 or completion.

 

Effective as indicated above, 73rd Street and Exchange intersection will be
closed to all vehicular traffic in the northbound direction only due to
Peoples Gas Project. This impacts the #71 bus route. 

 

Proposed #71 Reroute

 

The south-bound (SB) #71 (Terminating at 73rd/Exchange) would travel:

*	Operate regular route to Exchange/73rd Street (continue)
*	Continue Southeast (SE) on Exchange to 75th Street, (turn left)
*	East on 75th Street to Lakefront (take recovery time)

 

The north-bound (NB)  #71 North-bound Buses:

*	Operate regular route to 75th/Exchange,(continue)
*	Continue West on 75th Street to Yates,(turn right)
*	North on Yates to 73rd Street, (continue)
*	Continue North on Yates over the regular route.

 

Bus Stop Changes

 

The following bus stops on the #71 bus route will be out of service:

(NS = near-side. FS = far-side)

 

1.	Stop Id #18229, Exchange and 74th Place, NEB NS
2.	Stop Id #14479, Exchange and 74th Street, NEB FS
3.	Stop Id #14642, 73rd and Exchange, WB FS
4.	Stop Id #10816, 73rd and Yates, WB NS

 

The following bus stop (currently out of service) will be temporarily
reinstated during construction:

 

1.	Stop Id #10854, 75th and Exchange, WB NS

 

The #71 WB bus will serve the following existing bus stops on 75th Street
between Exchange and Yates:

 

1.	Stop Id #18231, 75th Colfax, WB NS
2.	Stop Id #10855, 75th and Kingston (west leg), WB NS
3.	Stop Id #10856, 75TH and Phillips (east leg)
4.	Stop Id #10857, 75th and Yates, WB NS

 

The following two new bus stops will be added along Yates between 75th and
73rd Streets:

 

1.   Yates and 74th, NB FS

2.   Yates and 73rd, NB NS
