Subject: We are launching the Chicago Lighthouse spring job club series this
week

To all job seekers,

Please come join the Chicago Lighthouse Employment Services job club series
beginning march 1. We will be meeting on Thursday afternoons from 1 p.m.
until 3 p.m. covering a broad range of topics to move you towards your goal
of full employment. While our focus is on individuals who are blind or
vision impaired, the experience is universal. The tentative outline is
attached. 

For our first week March 1, 2018 the topic is "You Know Yourself Best". 

Let's explore the following:

*	What qualifications do you currently possess that are desirable to a
potential employer
*	What are your work environment preferences
*	Exploring self assessments and interest inventories that are free
*	Developing your personal employment goals

It is never a good idea when someone asks you what kind of job you are
looking for by responding  " I don't care, I am just looking for any job."

Job seeking can be compared to dating, we all want to be wanted and that
includes the employer.

I look forward to walking through this series with anyone who is interested
in exploring the job search process. Please feel free to contact me with any
question you may have and share this with anyone that may benefit .
