Hello Everyone,

 

The Illinois House and Senate will be active starting tomorrow. As many of
you likely know, HB423 has already passed the house, and it is our feeling
that it will definitely come up for a vote in the Senate. I am including a
script that you may use when talking with your senators office. If you need
contact information, or if you need to know your state senator, please

My name is . and I am with the National Federation of the Blind of Illinois.
I am asking that Senator --- vote yes to pass HB423. I am pleased that newly
trained teachers of the Visually Impaired will still need to demonstrate
proficiency in reading and writing braille.
