Illinois at Large Chapter Meeting
Meeting is called to ordered at 7:07 PM on April 5, 2020. The people
who are in attendance are, Mary Grunwald,  Marco Gianotti, Marilyn
Green, Ellen Bartelt, Yvonne Agyarko, Charlene Elder, Bill Reif,
Debbie Stein, Leslie Hamric, Linda Hendle, Debbie Pittman,  Danny
Mandrell, Sharon Howerton, and Jemal Powell.
The meeting minutes from the March meeting will be postponed until the
meeting in May. Marilyn led everyone in reciting the NFB pledge. Debby
will lead everyone in the pledge next meeting. Warm Fuzzies Each
person on the call was able to say what they are thankful for during
the lockdown. Many members are thankful that they are receiving many
phone calls checking on how they are doing.

National Presidential Report: The April report was a live zoom call
with members in attendance. The full report with a question and answer
session can be downloaded from newsline. We listened to the first part
of the report  given by President Riccobono. Resources about the virus
can be found at nfb.org/COVID19. There are many resources on the page
about social security, and  the checks people are going to be
receiving. Any questions about Uber  can be sent to vyingling at nfb.org.
The NFB is working on how to make online learning as assessable as it
can be for our students. The NFB is working on legislation to make it
easier to apply for SSDI and Medicare services.
State Presidential Report: There is a resource list that is  on the
lists serve that explains tools to help out during the shutdown. There
was a really great turnout for the state and national scholarships.
The national office is still deciding about what will happen with
National Convention. There  will be a state board meeting sometime in
April. There will be an invitation sent out about the date and time.
The state will be looking into moving over to zoom in the next few
months.

Old Business: There was not any old business.
New Business: NFBI will be switching over to zoom in the next couple
of months. Questions were asked and answered about zoom. There will be
a zoom training Tuesday April 7, at 7:00 PM. People can learn more
about zoom and the book during the training. The meeting was adjourned
at 9:00 PM.
