hr. H, if the person had a white cane in his hand and was about to step into traffic i think a good samaritan has the right to pull that blind person out of harm's way. if i recall you don't use a cane.your making this person into a villain rather than a hero.

My point is you do not go up and put your hands on other people. I like my
space and do not want people putting their hands on me. People are sensative to
that kind of thing. We don't have to put up with people grabbing us.
It's our right to not have to deal with that stuff. I do not like it and
neither should this guy or anybody else.

lot blind people who ARE jerks and alot who aren't. i know a lot of sighted
people who ARE jerks. i have had people grab me on the subway as the train was
coming. I thanked them and then told them it was the wrong train, which it was.
no big deal.

possibly save his life, i think that helper is a hero. sometimes there is no
time for manners and pleasantries. we often do things instinctually like the
boy on the bus throwing himself in front of the girl who was about to be shot.
he died. if you recall a few years ago Mancow, a local dj , said be nice to
blind people, because they are dumb. he soon lost his job as he should. we
cannot put labels on sighted or blind people. also i did not see mr. H sign that
letter. or did the trib not print it?
