Hi Laura. Thanks much for the info.  Andy and I are using the webcam to talk
to my in-laws in Michigan and so they can see their grandson as he grows up.
I'd be using the software to make and answer calls from them.  Right now,
Andy can use the software but I'd like to be able to use it too if I want to
go online with my  in-laws with the webcam while he's at work. Thanks again.

What exactly are you trying to do with such software?  Skype is free (or has

a small fee depending on how you use it) and it has a webcam component as I 
understand.  I know that the major messengers all have webcam abilities: 
aim, msn, yahoo, and googleTalk.  Those services may be more useful for 
one-on-one discussions and not so much for meetings.  Skype may work if 
you're looking to host some sort of video conference call.  You may want to 
try a google search for "web meetings" or something of the like.  Obviously 
this won't tell you which is accessible, but many of them will probably have

demo versions you can try out.

Hope this helps.  Feel free to write back with more specifics or questions 
as I'm not sure what kind of uses you'd want for it.
