Subject: [il-talk] Transportation limitations to convention

Hello Everyone,

While assisting someone in booking a reservation on Amtrak on Friday,

October 8 for the convention, I discovered that the Texas Eagle is not

running from Chicago to Springfield on Friday, October 8 either.

As you may recall, I sent a notice about the lack of availability of that

train on Thursday, October 7. Though I did not ask for a reason why the

Texas Eagle would not be running on October 8, I'm sure it is because of the

track work being done that has eliminated that train for the previous day.

To make a long story short, if you're taking the train either on Thursday or

Friday, you will have to leave either at 9:40 A.M. or 5:25 P.M. if you are

leaving from Chicago.

If you have already booked on the Texas Eagle that was scheduled to leave

Chicago at 1:45 P.M> and you used a credit card, you may call Amtrak and

cancel for a full refund.

Though this isn't good news, I hope it is helpful nonetheless.
