Hello list,

I have since talked with Bill.  He talked to an Amtrak conductor, who 
explained that the track work that diverts the Texas Eagle is actually south 
of Springfield during the convention.  (Work north of Springfield will begin 
in late November or December.)  There will therefore be no need to bus 
people between Lincoln and Springfield as described.
