Connie had asked me to write that first timers article for the Braille
Examiner. I was reluctant, but she said please, and was also supportive
when I emailed her about it. One time, she said "you're one of us", making
me feel really a part of the NFB family! She will be missed. In just a
short time, I found out how caring andd nice she was!

I am very sad to report that we lost my dear friend Connie Davis last
night. She passed away peacefully with her sister-in-law with her at
Northwestern Hospital. She made such a difference in my life and I
will miss her terribly. She will always be with us because her
memory will live in our hearts. I am glad that I had the opportunity
to see her while I was in Chicago over New Years and she was glad to
see me as well. Rest in peace, beloved friend. Loving you nad
having you as my friend was the best and one of the easiest things I
have ever done in my life. You will be loved and remembered always.
